JOB DETAILS:

Our client in the Energy Sector seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and results-oriented individual for the vacancy above.
As an electricity distributor, UMEME is licensed to distribute and supply electricity to customers. This mandate involves; operation, maintenance and upgrade of electricity distribution infrastructure, electricity retail and provision of related services. The sector is regulated by the Electricity Regulatory Authority, whose mandate includes setting operating standards and appropriate end-user tariffs.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Lead and coordinate the preparation of proposals for baseline surveys, research studies in response to request for proposals in the local media and various service providers
2. He/she will contribute to the development and maintenance of UMEME databases management in terms of both administration of process and data quality to meet the needs.
3. Oversee the analysis of datasets and data mining activities.
4. Lead the research design, methodology, survey tool design and testing, survey planning and reports analysis processes.
5. Support and contribute to key processes that ensure quality of data e.g. data validator recruitment, training, survey tool and platform tool design including identification of new techniques and validation processes.
6. Present research findings to the internal and external clients.

Qualifications/Experience required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer science or related field.
2. Excellent presentation and oral and written communication skills.
3. Knowledge of Applications, Database administration and management.
4. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and mobile data collection equipment.
5. Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems tools is an added advantage.
6. Proficiency in the computer usage and software like Access, Excel, Word and SharePoint.
7. Proficiency in ICT infrastructure and database management.
8. Excellent communication and organizational skills, innovative and dynamic and good team spirit.
