Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client Mota-Engil-Uganda, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Surveyor Manager to work in Uganda.

Position: Surveyor Manager
Department: Technical.

Job summary:
The Surveyor Manager will be responsible for supervision of the Survey Section.

Key roles and responsibilities
• Responsible for Computation of geodetic measurements and interpreting survey data to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.
• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys.
• Ensure relevant data property boundaries in areas to be surveyed.
• Guide the survey team to record the results of surveys including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions as construction Works develop.
• Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites
• Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
• Measure and value the work done on site.
• Advise on contract interpretation.
• Write reports on construction progress.
• Keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to document the same.
• Ensure methods of measurement and valuation are appropriate to the work, fair to client and technically applicable under the site conditions

Qualifications, Skills, and Education required.
• Diploma in civil engineering or in a related field.
• 15 years of proven work experience in survey operations on international projects.
• Must have worked with Mota Engil for a minimum of 4 years on international construction projects
• Advanced knowledge in survey software of AutoCAD Autodesk Land.
• Ability to write and interpret detailed reports.
• Member of an internationally recognized Surveyors professional body
• Good team management and capacity building skills
