On behalf of our client Mota-Engil-Uganda, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Technical Engineer Coordinator to work in Uganda.
Position: Technical Engineer Coordinator.

Job summary:
The Technical Engineer Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of all technical aspects of the project.

Key roles and responsibilities
• Support Department Director with clerical support.
• Record inputs and logs daily and annual preventive maintenance work orders.
• Assist all Engineering Department personnel along with the entire hospital staff with any needs.
• Coordinate with design consultants, engineers project representatives, and statutory and authority agencies to set up design deliverables requirements for submission.
• Review design deliverables together with the design consultant and engineers to ensure order for submission.
• Participate in technical design clarification and project meetings.
• Coordinate with project coordination team members, vendors and subcontractors with regard to the workability and constructability of the design.
• Develop relations with the planning engineer on the design submission schedule and ensure timely design submissions.
• Coordinate with document controller on design deliverables transaction to ensure smooth flow of documents.
• Assist the procurement team with all necessary technical inputs to facilitate the award of procurement and subcontract packages.
• Involve in technical clarifications as required.
• Assist QA, QC and Site Construction Team to address technical issues and establish method statements.
• Lead and direct routine Engineering Division activities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Education required.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or in a related field
• 16 years of experience working on international construction projects serving in a related position.
• Advanced knowledge in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing as well as programs of Excel, SAP, ISO 10110 and ASME Y14.5M.
• 5 years working on international construction projects at a senior managerial level is a must.
• Strong knowledge of construction plans, specifications, subdivision maps and construction drawings.
• Ability to perform complex surveying computations, and solve drainage and related surveying problems.
• International and multicultural experience is a must
