JOB DETAILS:
JOB PURPOSE
The Workshop Supervisor will be charged with the responsibility of supervising the operations team and as well as oversee the daily activities of the workshop.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational
• Manage the workshop and efficiency of the team to ensure work is accomplished on time.
• Identify potential pitfall in workshop capacity and escalate to management
• Oversee the receipt of materials to ensure they correspond with the paper work.

Technical
• Oversee the installation, operation and maintenance of equipment

Health & Safety
• Ensure the workforce adheres to occupational health and safety standards.
• Carryout regular workshop inspections
• Report accidents and near misses to management

Team Leadership
• Develop and motivate the team to ensure maximum performance
• Ensure all tasks are completed as required

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
• A Diploma in Engineering or a related field
• A certificate from a Technical Institute is an added advantage
• At least 3 years work experience in a similar position in a fast-paced environment
• Managerial Skills
• Ability to Interpret Drawings
• Developing Bills of Quantities
• Knowledge of Fabrications and Electrical/ Lighting Inputs
• Strong leadership skills

Level of Education: Associate Degree
