Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences; or Social Work and Social Administration; or Arts or Development Studies; or a related Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/ Institution

Working Experience

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Probation and Social Welfare Officer for performing the following duties:-

- Initiating, monitoring and overseeing the management and improvement of the
home;
- Developing an appropriate operational system and advising on intervention
strategies;
- Coordinating and supervising the staff and activities of the home;
- Acting as Accounting Officer of the home/institution;
- Coordinating staff development programmes to ensure quality of staff;
- Designing and conducting appropriate activities for the children;
- Designing and sustaining a network and collaboration linkages with other stake
holders;
- Liaising with Police and Judicial Offices on the protection and welfare of
children in conflict with the law;
- Liaising with the community in order to integrate children back into communities on release from remand/rehabilitation;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
