About the Client
Biyinzika Poultry International Limited (BPIL) is Uganda's leading integrated poultry company. BPIL produces quality day-old chicks, HACCP-certified animal feed, and chicken meat products under the Pearl Chicken brand, serving Uganda and the East African region through over 40 branches.
Responsibilities
Logistics Management
• Ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective deliveries for the Consumer and Agri Divisions.
• Manage delivery schedules, routes, and costs while maintaining vehicle safety and upkeep.
• Oversee third-party logistics providers to ensure service quality.
Performance Analysis and Improvement
• Maintain metrics, analyze logistics data, and assess performance.
• Identify and implement improvements to operational and financial performance.
• Develop and implement best-practice logistics principles, policies, and processes.
Customer Service Management
• Develop and manage the workflow of the customer service section.
• Support the development of a customer experience program.
• Receive and act on customer feedback to improve service quality.
• Generate detailed reports on customer interactions and feedback.
Team Management
• Manage and coordinate the Customer Service and Dispatch teams.
• Supervise drivers and third-party logistics providers.
• Ensure team adherence to company policies and high performance standards.
Budget Participation
• Contribute to the development of the logistics and customer service budget.
Person Specification
Education and Training
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Relevant training in transport, logistics, customer care, or related fields.
Skills and Experience
• 7 to 10 years’ experience in a similar role within a high-performing commercial or logistics environment.
• Proven track record in managing logistics operations and customer service workflows.
• Proficiency in analyzing performance data and implementing operational improvements.
• Clean driving record and valid driving credentials.
