JOB DETAILS:
The Role:
As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for providing insights and advanced analytics that will improve our products and shape company strategy. The position will focus on supporting Numida’s Product and Country Expansion functions by generating deep understanding of regional trends across the business and assessing and improving our predictive modelling systems.

Your Responsibilities:
• Work with Product and Country Expansion teams to identify opportunities for improvement, solve problems and grow the product
• Design and monitor key metrics to ensure Numida’s clients are being efficiently processed through our system across countries
• Support the design, development and deployment of multiple AI data models that are core to our business success
• Improve our data structure/organisation to ensure we have the foundational information needed to answer key business questions (wrangle our data)
• Run statistically sound experiments on existing and new product features to learn, optimise and innovate
• Support team by answering urgent, ad hoc data questions as they arise
• Locate, define and communicate new process improvement opportunities
• Communicate with all teams regularly to determine changes in processes and new experiments to better understand the main factors influencing key metrics
• Ensuring that necessary tracking systems and feedback mechanisms are in place to evaluate and monitor new company initiatives and experiments in a timely and efficient manner

Skills & Qualifications:
• At least 3 years of working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
• Proficiency in SQL and writing complex queries
• Strong command of statistical analysis and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (R, Python, SAS, SPSS)
• Strong communication skills and proficiency at translating business requirements and data insights into simple terms accessible to non-technical colleagues
• Strong Data Visualization and narrative skills
• Experience working with various datasets (small & large with various data types).
• Experience working with data from Core Banking Systems, Loan Management Systems, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software is an asset (but not required)
• Have experience instrumenting new data sources, and linking the sources with other data (using ETL tools)
