Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Implementation:
• Community Mapping:
• Conduct participatory SGBV asset mapping to identify available resources, services, and gaps in community-based SGBV response systems.
• Facilitate focus group discussions and community meetings to gather input for asset mapping.
• Response Mechanisms:
• Support the establishment or strengthening of community-based referral pathways for SGBV survivors.
• Ensure SGBV response systems are inclusive, culturally appropriate, and survivor-centered.
Capacity Building:
• Train community members on identifying SGBV risks, reporting mechanisms, and available support services.
• Assist in developing materials for SGBV awareness and prevention campaigns.
Gender Mainstreaming and Protection:
Gender-Based Violence (GBV):
• Proficient in addressing GBV issues, including prevention, response, and support for survivors. Familiarity with SGBV minimum standards, Case management, and GBVIMS (Gender-Based Violence Information Management System).
Faith Actor Engagement:
• Mobilize and engage faith-based organizations (FBOs) and leaders to promote SGBV prevention and response within their communities.
• Facilitate training sessions for faith leaders on gender equality, positive gender norms, and the role of faith in SGBV prevention.
Consortium Coordination:
• Support the creation and functioning of Faith Actor Consortiums, ensuring representation from diverse faith groups.
• Organize meetings and forums for faith actors to share best practices, collaborate with other SGBV actors, and align on shared goals.
Advocacy and Awareness:
• Assist faith actors in designing and delivering SGBV prevention messages, leveraging their influence in communities.
• Promote interfaith collaboration to strengthen community resilience against SGBV.
Economic Empowerment Initiatives:
• Support the implementation of livelihood programs, and savings groups targeted at empowering women and girls.
• Collaborate with partners to integrate SGBV prevention into economic empowerment activities.
• Social and Behavior Change (SBC):
• Implement SBC strategies to challenge harmful gender norms and promote positive social practices.
• Facilitate community dialogues, theater performances, and multimedia campaigns to drive behavior change.
Male Engagement:
• Organize workshops and initiatives to engage men and boys as allies in SGBV prevention, emphasizing positive masculinity.
• Train male community members to advocate for gender equality and participate in household decision-making.
Coordination and Advocacy:
Networking and Representation:
• Represent the organization in relevant coordination forums, including Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Protection Working Groups.
• Advocate for gender-sensitive and protection-focused approaches among project stakeholders.
• Support Proposal Implementation:
• Ensure project interventions align with the gender and protection outcomes articulated in the proposal.
• Work with the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) team to integrate gender and protection indicators.
Monitoring and Evaluation
Data Collection:
• Regularly collect data on project activities, including participation, outcomes, and challenges.
• Document case studies, lessons learned, and success stories to support reporting and future programming.
Reporting:
• Contribute to regular project reports by providing detailed updates on activities under each outcome.
• Ensure all reports align with organizational and donor requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
Partnerships:
• Foster relationships with local authorities, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen SGBV prevention and response.
• Coordinate with SGBV actors to avoid duplication and ensure holistic support for survivors.
• Community Mobilization:
• Work with community leaders, faith actors, and local stakeholders to promote collective action against SGBV.
• Ensure the active participation of marginalized groups, including women, girls, and persons with disabilities, in project activities.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
• A degree in Social Work, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or a related field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in gender and protection programming, with a focus on SGBV prevention and response, Gender mainstreaming, and transformative gender programming.
• Knowledge of faith-based approaches to development and gender equality.
• Familiarity with economic empowerment initiatives and SBC frameworks.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills, with experience working in diverse cultural contexts.

Desirable:
• The ability to ride a motorcycle is a must.
• Experience working with faith-based organizations and community leaders.

Skills and Competencies:
• Proven experience in implementing gender, GBV and Male engagement.
• Proficiency in participatory approaches and community engagement methods.
• Ability to facilitate discussions on sensitive topics such as SGBV.
• Analytical skills to identify SGBV risks and propose solutions.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to network, build relationships with different partners, faith leaders and local networks.
