About the Client
Biyinzika Poultry International Limited (BPIL) is a leading poultry company in Uganda, producing high-quality day-old chicks and HACCP-certified animal feed. The company operates over 40 branches in Uganda and the East African region and produces chicken meat products under the Pearl Chicken brand.

Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
• Build and manage relationships with key customers to achieve sales and margin budgets.
• Understand customer objectives and BPIL's strategy, ensuring full implementation.
• Maintain regular customer visits to maximize sales and product visibility.
• Monitor competitor activities and market trends to inform management decisions.
Sales and Operations Management
• Drive channel sales through the sales team and manage in-store promotions.
• Ensure customers are stocked regularly, with timely banking and weekly sales reporting.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple retail locations, ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Monitor store compliance, performance, and merchandising strategies.
Staff Management and Development
• Train and mentor store managers and staff to meet performance standards.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster teamwork and a positive work environment across retail locations.
Inventory and Delivery Coordination
• Coordinate inventory management, stock levels, and replenishment processes.
• Ensure timely delivery of stock to customers according to specifications and weight ranges.
• Reconcile product deliveries with customer orders.
Performance Analysis and Reporting
• Track and analyze sales metrics, identifying improvement areas.
• Prepare regular reports on store performance, sales, merchandising, and stock positions.
• Report market trends, competitor activities, and product performance to management.
Customer Service Excellence
• Ensure consistent customer service standards across all locations.
• Address customer issues and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.

Person Specification
Education and Training
• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Professional training in Selling Skills, Customer Service, and Negotiation Skills (preferred).
Skills and Experience
• 6-7 years’ experience in a similar role within a commercial environment.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Proven ability to manage sales performance, inventory, and customer relationships.
• Experience in team training, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
