JOB DETAILS:
QUALITY PLASTICS UGANDA LIMITED is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to handle unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stacking them to assigned places. The candidate must be performance-driven, possess strong organizational and planning skills, and be proficient in problem-solving and motivating others. This is a full-time, on-site position located in Mukono.

Key Responsibilities:
• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places in conformance to the systems international requirements.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or loading as may be required and ensure to maintain safety at all times.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies to the concerned personnel to carry out root cause analysis to ensure that the product meets its intended use.
• Ensure that no food / eats are taken inside production, packing, loading and storage area which may lead to contamination of material/ products.
• Transport raw materials to production workstations following the procedure in place.
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance and cleaning to avoid contamination.
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs e.g. equipment cleaning log/ check list and report on the performance / improvement opportunities in the systems.
• Comply with company policies and food safety requirement through the use of PPE
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities and ensure to communicate the importance of meeting customer requirement throughout the organization.
• Perform any other duties which may be required by management.

Driver - Qualifications
• Minimum Experience:3 years working experience with reputable organization. Must have a valid driving permit with recommended class for Forklift Driver.

Knowledge & Skills:
• Basic knowledge in English (verbal and written)
• Good knowledge of applicable standards, local rules and regulations
• Understands Ugandan traffic laws and regulation.
• Ability to work under pressure.
